Do I need a permit for electrical work in BC?
Most electrical work in British Columbia requires a permit from Technical Safety BC, including panel upgrades, new circuits and EV chargers. As a licensed contractor, Volta pulls the permit and arranges the inspection for you so the work is documented for insurance and resale.
How much does a panel upgrade cost in Prince George?
It depends on the amperage, whether the service mast and meter base need replacing, and the condition of the existing wiring. We assess on site and give you a fixed written price before any work begins.
Can you install an EV charger in my garage?
Yes. We install Level 2 chargers for every major brand, do the load calculation to confirm your panel can handle it, and handle the permit. We can also advise on current BC Hydro and CleanBC rebates.
